| A basic reference book from the Christian Research Association. This book brings together a vast amount of information about Australian people, their characteristics, their attitudes and values, and how religious faith fits into their lives.
The book is divided into three parts and includes basic facts on the following topics:
- People - population, where people live and where they have come from, birth, education, marriage and divorce, work and leisure, time use and money expenditure, health, crime and death.
- Attitudes - what people value, attitudes to moral, social and political issues.
- Religious faith - Religious faith - finding peace and closeness to God, interest in spirituality, beliefs, religious practices and the clergy.
The facts have been gathered from a range of sources: the Australian Census, surveys by the Australian Bureau of Statistics, church surveys and population sample surveys.
